Getting Started with AI

Get up and running with Typeform AI in minutes. This guide will walk you through activating AI features and creating your first AI-powered form.

Prerequisites

To use Typeform AI, you’ll need:

  • A Typeform account (Free, Basic, Plus, or Enterprise)
  • AI features enabled on your plan
  • A modern web browser

Beta Access: Some AI features are currently in beta. Check your account settings to request access if needed.

Step 1: Enable AI Features

  1. Log into your Typeform account
  2. Navigate to Settings > AI Features
  3. Review and accept the AI Terms
  4. Toggle on the AI features you want to use

The fastest way to create a form with AI:

Start with a Prompt

Click Create with AI from your workspace dashboard and describe what you want to create:

“Create a customer satisfaction survey for a SaaS product with NPS, feature feedback, and open-ended questions”

Review Generated Form

AI will generate a complete form with:

  • Optimized question structure
  • Logical flow and branching
  • Professional styling
  • Thank you screen

Customize and Refine

Make any adjustments:

  • Edit questions
  • Adjust logic jumps
  • Modify design
  • Add or remove fields

Publish and Share

When satisfied, publish your form and share it with your audience.

Step 3: Enhance with Interaction AI

Add intelligence to help respondents:

Enable Clarify with AI

  1. Select any question field
  2. Click AI Settings
  3. Toggle on “Clarify with AI”
  4. AI will provide context-aware help when respondents need it

Add FAQ with AI

  1. Navigate to form settings
  2. Enable “FAQ with AI”
  3. Upload your knowledge base or FAQs
  4. AI will answer questions inline during form completion

Step 4: Analyze with Insights AI

Once you start collecting responses:

Use Ask AI

  1. Go to your form Results page
  2. Click Ask AI in the top menu
  3. Ask questions in natural language:
    • “What are the main themes in the feedback?”
    • “How many respondents rated us 9 or 10?”
    • “Show me trends over the last month”

View Smart Insights

  • Navigate to Insights tab
  • Review AI-generated summaries
  • Explore sentiment analysis
  • Check trend predictions
